COVID-19 - Health, Safety and Hygiene Protocol

Please be assured that we are doing everything in our capacity to ensure that you are safe and comfortable upon our return. Our mission remains the same; we want you to thoroughly enjoy the aromatics experience. We need to protect our clients and colleagues. Accordingly, aromatics will be implementing certain changes to give you confidence in our health and safety protocols, thus enhancing our existing high levels of cleanliness and hygiene.
We have always prided ourselves on our hospitality. However, as a result of this crisis, aromatics has, regrettably, suspended our invitation for clients to arrive early or to remain following a treatment, for a glass of water and a chat. This is for your safety as well as our own.
What we are doing for our clients:
  • Our client screening, practice hygiene and staff PPE are all in accordance with UK government and NHS guidelines.
  • We will be wearing FFP2 masks and aprons during the consultation (allowing for appropriate social distancing) and will wear full face visors during physical treatment.
  • We will not wear gloves unless requested, but have been advised to wash hands and arms up to the elbows, before and after every treatment.
  • The treatment rooms; couch, pillow cases, door handles, front desk and toilet will be cleaned after every client.
  • We will no longer have our luxury items of soft furnishings to accompany our couches. We have stripped it right back.
  • We have disinfectant wipes in the toilet if you wish to clean the seat, taps and handles for yourself (but we will clean it again once you have gone).
  • Hand sanitiser will be available upon arrival.
Reducing the risk of client contact:
  • To reduce client numbers attending at any one time, the treatment will be on a one on one basis and no other persons will be permitted to wait. 
  • We will be offering an appointment only service. Unfortunately, we will no longer be offering a service where clients can sit before or after their treatment. 
  • This is to allow us time to:
    • Reduce the chances of clients meeting in reception.
    • Allow time to fully clean the treatment couch, desk, chairs, surfaces, handles, etc…
    • Fully ventilate the treatment room for the required 15-20 minutes between clients.
What we are asking our clients to do for us:
Please DO NOT visit aromatics if:
  • You have had any symptoms of COVID-19; a high temperature, a persistent cough or loss of sense of smell or taste in the last 7 days.
  • someone in your household has or has recently had symptoms of COVID-19.
  • You, or anyone in your household, is considered clinically extremely vulnerable. Should this be the case, you will have received a letter from your GP.
  • You, or anyone in your household, has been in contact with someone with suspected or confirmed COVID-19 in the last 14 days.
  • At present, if you have travelled abroad and are returning to the UK, you must go into quarantine for 14 days, so please bear this in mind when making appointments.
  • If you have an appointment and you or a household member develop any COVID-19 symptoms – please telephone or email aromatics to cancel.
  • If you have children and are unable to leave them at home, please do not make an appointment.
  • Please do not arrive too early for your appointment.
    • If you do, please wait in your car until 5 minutes before your treatment time.
  • Equally, please make every effect to not turn up late, as this will ultimately affect your treatment time.
  • If a family member or friend has provided you with transport to aromatics, we respectfully request that they stay in their car.
  • Please wash your hands thoroughly on arrival and upon leaving aromatics.
    • Hand sanitiser will be provided on entry.
  • We request that clients wear a mask when attending for treatment.
  • If you do not have one, we can provide a disposable surgical mask (£1.00).
  • Please do not bring unnecessary items with you for your treatment. Where possible, leave jewellery at home.
  • Please pay by card rather than cash. We will sanitise the credit card device after each client. Alternatively, we accept Apple Pay.
If you develop any symptoms of COVID-19 after attending aromatics, please contact us immediately so that the necessary action can be taken promptly.
Every client will be sent a COVID-19 pre-treatment screening questionnaire, 24 hours before every treatment, via email. Please complete and return. Please forward your most up to date email address to us, as soon as possible. 
If you, or any member of your household, or anyone that you have been in contact with, develops symptoms of COVID-19, your appointment will be cancelled and you should self-isolate for 14 days.
We hope you will understand that these protocols are for your safety, and the safety of others through this time.
